Psychotherapy
I have always been drawn to an approach to psychotherapy that is been eclectic and integrative rather than specializing in one single approach to therapy. I have had training in a variety of approaches to therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, psychodynamic psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), biofeedback, Alpha-Stim Microcurrent Electical Therapy (MET) & Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CET), energy psychology, and mindfulness-based psychotherapy.
Over the last several years I have focused increasingly on mindfulness-based psychotherapy, particularly Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra (iRest). I am a Certified iRest Yoga Nidra Teacher, having completed the certification process with the Integrative Restoration Institute.
I provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults, primarily in individual therapy with family therapy incorporated as needed.
I also provide court ordered psychotherapy as well as reunification or reconciliation therapy between estranged children and parents.
I accept referrals in the following areas:
- Mood disorders.
- Anxiety disorders.
- Posttraumatic stress disorder.
- Addiction recovery.
- Chronic pain.
- The psychological sequalea of medical conditions.
